PURPOSE: A metal separator for a fuel cell is provided to obtain a metal separator with excellent corrosion resistance and electric conductivity even for a long-term use. CONSTITUTION: A method for a metal separator for a fuel cell comprises the steps of: preparing a stainless steel sheet base material(200); forming a discontinuous coating film(220) on the surface of the stainless steel sheet base material with at least one of gold(Au), platinum(Pt), ruthenium(Ru), iridium(Ir), ruthenium-oxide(RuO2) and iridium oxide(IrO2); and forming an oxide film(230) at the part where the coating film is not formed, by heating the stainless steel plate on which the discontinuous coating film is formed. |
