<p>The invention relates to a spherical wind turbine meant to convert the wind energy into electrical current. According to the invention, the turbine comprises three blades (1) with constant width, whose ends are staggered to one another by an angle of 120°, each having a variable profile along the entire length thereof and an axis which is a sinusoid, following the outline of a sphere, oriented to the left, as viewed from the frontal side, the blades (1) being attached on a central shaft (2) at angles ranging between 15° and 45°, said shaft (2) being mounted to a frame (3) by means of some flexible bearings (4), the blades being kept facing to the wind by means of a drift fin (5) which determines the rotation of the frame (3) by means of an articulated pivot (6), the entire assembly being carried by a support (7), the electric current being generated by means of a generator (8) which is driven directly by the central shaft (2).</p> |
