EST-DERIVED SSR PRIMER SETS FOR DISCRIMINATION OF PANAX GINSENG CULTIVARS AND PANAX QUINQUEFOLIUS AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: An SSR(simple sequence repeat) primer set for identifying Panax quinquefolium L. and Panax ginseng C. A. meyer is provided to improve purity in a species. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for distinguishing ginseng species contains 70 pairs of oligonucleotide primer sets of sequence numbers 1-140. The primer set contains 22 pairs of oligonucleotide primer of sequence numbers 1-44. A method for distinguishing ginseng species among ginsengs comprises: a step of isolating genome DNA from a ginseng sample; a step of amplifying a target sequence by PCR using the genome DNA and primer set; and a step of identifying the amplified product.
