THICK PLATE SHEARING EQUIPMENT AND METHOD OF PREVENTING MEANDERING OF STEEL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thick plate shearing equipment and a method of preventing the meandering of a steel plate by which an installation space and various cost are reduced. SOLUTION: The thick plate shearing equipment includes pinch rolls which have a mechanism for moving an edge cutting machine or a split cutting machine in the axial direction without restraining the pinch rolls so that meandering generating force caused by an angle (θ) which is formed by the steel plate conveying direction and the axial center of the roll on the horizontal plane including the axial centers of the right and left pinch rolls in the width direction of the steel plate is canceled by the displacement in the axial direction of the pinch rolls while the steel plate is travelling and a mechanism for stopping the movement of the pinch rolls in the axial direction to prevent the horizontal deviation of the steel plate while the steel plate is being sheared by the edge cutting machine or the split cutting machine.
