PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a display device, the method more simply manufacturing the display device with superb display performance. SOLUTION: An auxiliary wiring layer 14 insulated from each first electrode layer 13 is formed so as to surround each first electrode layer 13 after forming the plurality of first electrode layers 13 on a substrate. Then, an organic layer 16 is formed so as to cover the first electrode layers 13 and the auxiliary wiring layer 14. A coated section for covering the auxiliary wiring layer 14 out of the organic layer 16 is heated by applying current to the auxiliary wiring layer 14, and a contact hole 16A is formed by removing at least a portion of the coated section. Further, a second electrode layer 18 is formed so as to fill up the contact hole 16A and cover the organic layer 16. Thus, the auxiliary wiring layer 14 and the second electrode layer 18 can reliably come into contact with each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
