PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device having a stud bolt and a nut member for easily fastening an attachment member to a workpiece to be welded in a short time with high workability even in a narrow space. SOLUTION: The fastening device 1 includes a stud bolt 5 having a bolt portion and a weld end 3 to be welded to a workpiece to be welded 26, and a nut member 7 to be screwed onto the stud bolt. The nut member 7 is connected in the state of being screwed onto the stud bolt before welding, and is formed out of an electrically conductive material to allow the welding current to flow onto the stud bolt and weld the nut member 7 to the workpiece to be welded while connected to the stud bolt 5. The attachment member 19 is disposed on top of the workpiece to be welded 26 welded with the fastening device 1, and the attachment member is fastened to the workpiece to be welded when the nut member 7 is turned in the fastening direction.
