The invention relates to a system for locking a retractable bar for a vehicle roof including a slider mounted such as to rotate on one end of the roof bar and to translate along a rail placed on the roof of the vehicle for retracting or extending the bar, and a locking means including a male element and a female element which can engage to immobilise the slide on the rail. According to the invention, the male element is located on the slide. The invention can be used mainly in the field of roof racks for vehicles. |
