PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the recovery ratio of a polysaccharide depolymerized product, a used acid and an organic solvent in the whole cycle by sufficiently depositing the polysaccharide depolymerized product irrespective of the degree of polymerization of the polysaccharide depolymerized product and easily separating the acid and the organic solvent after deposition when a polysaccharide is decomposed using the acid of a nonmetal, an enzyme and the like to produce the polysaccharide depolymerized product having a disaccharide or more. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the polysaccharide depolymerized product, the polysaccharide depolymerized product is deposited and recovered by using an acid aqueous solution having a mixing ratio of water and the acid by weight of 30:70 to 5:95, adding a chain ether which is in a gaseous state or a liquid state at a normal temperature and has <100°C boiling point to dissolve the product and reducing the polarity of the liquid, the chain ether is evaporated from an acid-water-ether compatible liquid generated after the deposited polysaccharide depolymerized product is separated, the inorganic acid aqueous solution and the chain ether are separated and reused respectively.
