PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing core-shell particles by a suspension polymerization method, wherein each particle has a structure in which a core of a (meth)acrylate polymer is uniformly and thinly coated with a shell of a styrenic polymer and can exhibit both characteristics of the shell and the core. SOLUTION: The core-shell particles are produced by suspension polymerization. A mixture, which includes a monomer component for the core including 80 mass% or more of the (meth)acrylic monomer in 100 mass% of the monomer component for the core, an oil soluble polymerization initiator, a surfactant, and water, is forcibly stirred to produce a suspension. A mixture, which includes a monomer component for the shell including 80 mass% or more of the styrenic monomer in 100 mass% of the monomer component for the shell, a surfactant, and water and does not include a polymerization initiator, is forcibly stirred to obtain a pre-emulsion. The dropping of the pre-emulsion to the suspension is started and completed for polymerization while the conversion of the monomer component for the core in the suspension is in the range of from 80 to 99 mass%.
