The invention relates to a the provision of an object, such as floor coveting such as a carpet or carpet tile, which comprises a plurality of components, one of which is an adhesive, the condition of which can be selectively changed. The change can be used to allow the condition of the object to be changed between a first condition for use and a second condition in which the same is rendered more readily recyclable.
