<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester container which excels in gas-barrier and flavor-hold abilities and is difficult to break when it is dropped. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester container that has a single layer or multiple layers having one or more layers of a polyester-series resin composition and is formed by a direct blow molding, wherein the polyester-series resin composition is prepared by mixing at least two components of polyester (A) of 80 to 98 mass% and polyamide (B) of 20 to 2 mass%, and wherein the polyamide (B) is prepared using polycondensation of diamine units containing m-xylylenediamine units of 70 mol% or more and dicarboxylic acid units containingα,ω-aliphatic dicarboxylic acid units of 70 mol% or more. The polyamide (B) is dispersed within the polyester (A). An average length along the lengthwise axis of the dispersed particles, which can be observed when the surface of a container body part is observed with a TEM at a magnification of 10,000, is 1 micrometer or less.
