PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connecting structure for stabilizing attenuation of light quantity. SOLUTION: When one of optical fiber assemblies 1 is inserted from one of openings of a sleeve 2, a metal plate 5 fixed on the tip face 9 of an inserted portion 6 is attracted to a magnet 11 fixed on an annular wall 12, thereby stabilizing the position of a ferrule 4. When the other optical fiber assembly 1 is inserted from the other opening of the sleeve 2, in the same way as the above, the metal plate 5 fixed on the tip face 9 of the inserted portion 6 is attracted to the magnet 11 fixed on the annular wall 12, thereby stabilizing the position of the ferrule 4.
