<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a display method for allowing a user to recognize a screen configuration after screen transition beforehand before the screen transition, when a content is chosen by the screen transition. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display mode control portion controlling screen transition among a full screen display mode, a multiple content display mode, and a panel display mode; and a thumbnail image shape determination portion. At the full screen display mode, an image is displayed on the whole screen of a display portion. At the multiple content display mode, a plurality of thumbnail images about the content are displayed on the screen. At the panel display mode, a panel displaying information about the content is displayed on the screen. The thumbnail image shape determination portion determines the shape of a thumbnail image so that the shape of the thumbnail image shows arrangement configuration of the screen when the thumbnail image is chosen and the screen transition is carried out at the multiple content display mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
