<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease staining near an end in a longitudinal direction of a supply roller. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 28, which is employed in a printer 27, includes a developing roller 2 for supplying toner 8 to a photosensitive drum 1, and the supply roller 3 for supplying the toner 8 to the developing roller 2. The supply roller 3 is set such that a resistance value at its end in the longitudinal direction may be larger than a resistance value at its center.
