PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-up type switching power supply capable of realizing higher efficiency, smaller size, lower noise and lower cost. SOLUTION: The step-up type switching power supply 101 includes a rectifying diode Dr, in which cathode is connected to a plus output terminal 12; a smoothing capacitor Cs connected between the plus output terminal 12 and a minus output terminal 13-2; n pairs connected in series, in which inductor L<SB>i</SB>(i is a positive integer: 1≤i≤n) and a capacitor C<SB>i</SB>are sequentially connected in series from the plus input terminal 11 toward an anode of the rectifier diode Dr, n switching elements S<SB>i</SB>connected between one end of inductors L<SB>i</SB>and the negative input terminal 13-1, and n clamp diodes D<SB>i</SB>, in which one end of the capacitors C<SB>i</SB>is connected to the cathode and the plus input terminal 11 is connected to the anode.
