<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional electrode for nerves which has high strength and durability, can be inserted into the deep part of the brain, and can perform a plurality of functions even alone. <P>SOLUTION: A metal needle-like electrode body 11 has a groove 11d extending along the length direction on the side. A glass base 12 is provided in the groove 11d of the electrode body 11.
