<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical interconnection circuit without the arrangement limit of an electronic circuit chip. <P>SOLUTION: The optical interconnection circuit includes a printed wiring board 10 where the electronic circuit chips having light emitting/receiving elements are arranged, two-dimensional optical waveguides 20-1 and 20-2, and circularly polarizing plates 16-1 and 16-2. The output light of the light emitting element 14-1 that a first electronic circuit chip 12-1 has is input to the circularly polarizing plate 16-1, converted to circularly polarized light, and input to a first diffraction grating 22-1. A luminous flux input to the first diffraction grating is diffracted, and the diffracted light is input to the two-dimensional optical waveguide 20-1. The diffracted light input to the two-dimensional optical waveguide propagates the two-dimensional optical waveguide and a part of it reaches a second diffraction grating 22-2. The diffracted light which has reached the second diffraction grating is diffracted, and the diffracted light is input to the light receiving element 14-2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
