PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner having sufficient low temperature fixability and storage property and excellent rising property of charging, and to provide a binder resin for toner and a crystalline resin for toner to be used for the toner. SOLUTION: The binder resin for the electrophotographic toner contains an amorphous resin and a crystalline resin, wherein both of the amorphous resin and the crystalline resin are formed of a condensation-polymerization resin obtained by condensing and polymerizing an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component. At least either the amorphous resin or the crystalline resin is a resin obtained by using an aromatic compound represented by formula (I) as a carboxylic acid component and/or an alcohol component. The electrophotographic toner contains the above binder resin.
