PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a line-tangling (backlash) trouble caused by projection of a fishing line from a spool and frequently occurring in a conventional electric fishing reel having the spool which is not covered with a spool cover. SOLUTION: The spool of the electric fishing reel is rotated as a whole by rotating a driven surface of the spool around a spool shaft by rotation of a driving roller, wherein a bulged portion A1 is formed on the inside of the spool cover.
