<p>A protection method for double transmission mechanism in the ring network is disclosed in a present invention. The method includes the following steps: a service transmission node transmits a service message bidirectionally to a service reception node along a working path and a protection path of a ring network respectively; the service reception node performs the service performance statistics according to the reception status of the service message on the working path and the protection path, and selects the received service message on the working path or the protection path to process according to the result of the service performance statistics.
