<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container sealing structure in which the effect of dimensional dispersion of a container and a lid is suppressed to allow the lid to easily seal the container. <P>SOLUTION: According to the container sealing structure, fitting together the outer fitting side wall 11 of the container 10 and the inner fitting side wall 41 of the lid 40 pushes a compression elastic portion 15 formed on the outer fitting side wall 11 into a U-shaped groove 46 between the inner fitting side wall 41 and a sealing hood wall 45 outside the inner fitting side wall 41. The compression elastic portion 15 is formed by folding back an annular flexible wall 14 projecting slantly sideways from the outer face of the outer fitting side wall 11, thus given elasticity higher than a conventional elastic portion. This suppresses the effect of dimensional dispersion of the container 10 and the lid 40 at their fitting portion to prevent an increase in fitting resistance.
