The present invention discloses a relay communication system supporting multiple hops, which includes: a first relay node, at least one second relay node and a core network. The first relay node provides wireless access connections to the at least one second relay node, and provides, as a gateway, communication connections between the at least one second relay node and the core network. In the meantime, the present invention discloses an access method of the relay communication system supporting multiple hops, which includes: the second relay node resides at the first relay node and establishes an air interface connection with the first relay node; the second relay node establishes a connection with the core network through the first relay node; the first relay node forwards, as a gateway, the data between the second relay node and the core network; in the meantime the first relay node acts as a core network gateway which serves the second relay node; when it acts as the core network gateway, the first relay node is controlled by a Mobility Management Entity (MME) to establish a connection with the second relay node and to assign addresses; and the first relay node applies for establishing channels and applies for addresses to a network element of the core network, wherein the network element serves the first relay node. The data transmission rate of the present invention is relatively rapid, and the way of transmission of the present invention is relatively flexible. |
