CONNECTION STRUCTURE OF TERMINAL FITTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure of a terminal fitting having reduced insertion force.

SOLUTION: The connection structure 10 of the terminal fitting includes a male terminal fitting, a female terminal fitting 20 having a body part 21 in which the tab 50 of the male fitting can be inserted, and an elastic contact piece 30. The elastic contact piece 30 is held in an elastically deformed state until just before the tab 50 and is advanced into a normal connection position with the elastic contact piece 30 by a pressing part 40. The pressing part 40 includes a pressing piece 41, disposed toward the center axis L direction of the elastic contact piece 30 forming both sides of the width direction of the elastic contact piece 30. Immediately prior to the tab advancing into the normal connection position with the elastic contact piece 30, the pressing piece is pressed in a direction of separating from the center axis L of the elastic contact piece 30 by the tab 50; the elastically deformed state of the elastic contact piece 30 is thereby released; and the maximum width dimension of the tab 50 is set to be not less than the width dimension of the elastic contact piece 30.
