PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely execute downgrade in a package including a program component shared by a plurality of packages in an information processor in which one or more program components contained in one package are installed (updated) to a storage device in package units. SOLUTION: In the information processor, for each program component to be installed to equipment, information for a package in which the program component is included is preliminarily held in the equipment, and prior to downgrade of respective program components in downgrade of a certain package, it is checked whether the downgrade version of each program component is equal to or more than a version included in the other package if the program component is subordinate also to the other package.
