PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar throwing knife which improves precision to hit a target in throwing, attains a long shot range, and is suitable for a sporting event. SOLUTION: A dart 1 made of a heavy metal material and a cylindrical shaft 2 made of a light material are combined at a joint part 3 by a screw or integrally formed. In the bar throwing knife, when a length from the position of the gravity center (g) of only the point part of the dart or the marker (5) of the gravity center (g) to the end 2-2 of the shaft is adopted as 100, a distance from the position to the gravity center (G) of the knife or the marker 4 of the gravity center (G) falls within the range of a specified numerical value from 17 to 23 by ratio.
