The gripping element for connection with a conductor such as cable or conductor rail surrounded by an electrically insulated plastic layer by friction welding, comprises a cutting tool-like structure for permeating the plastic layer, and a thread bolt (5) or a cable lug. The lower side of the structure is turned away from the conductor during welding. The structure comprises a ring-shaped spacer and a thorn and/or a blade (2), which has a cutting depth, which is greater than a thickness of the plastic layer. The structure is formed in rotation-symmetrical manner. A cutting surface is formed through the structure parallel to the contact surface. A recess (3) is provided for the reception of a plastic melt formed itself during the production of friction welding connection, at the lower side. A further plastic layer or a plastic element is applied on the lower side. The gripping element is produced from aluminum, copper, brass or a metal coated with aluminum. |
