The transmission has four planetary gear sets (P1-P4) arranged in a housing (G) and designed as minus planetary gear sets. A shaft (5) is connected to an internal gear of the first planetary gear set and another shaft (6) via a clutch (56). The latter shaft is connected to a web of a second planetary gear set, and an internal gear of the third planetary gear set is coupled to the housing. An output shaft (2) is connected to an internal gear of the fourth planetary gear set and a web of the third planetary gear set. The first planetary gear set is interlocked by closing another clutch (13).
