PURPOSE: A display device for displaying an input image signal and a color controlling method by applying the control value according to the intensity level are provided to clearly express the color sense of the low gradation region by applying the respectively different compensation value. CONSTITUTION: An input video signal is divided into a brightness signal and a color difference signal. The color difference signal is divided into a first region and a second region based on the outputted brightness signal(S320). The divided first region and a second region are applied the different gain value. The level of the color difference signal is adjusted about the first region and the second region based on the applied gain value. |
