The device has a sound source (1201), where a monophonic audio signal to be stereophonized from the source is delayed around a delay time. The delay time is dependent on an angle (1205), angle beta and manual or metrologically determined polar pattern of the audio signal. The polar pattern is represented in polar coordinates. The delayed signal is amplified around an amplification factor. The monophonic audio signal is used as a main signal. The signals are added to obtain a side signal. The main signal and the side signal are stereo-converted into a stereo signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for pseudo-stereophonization of a monophonic audio signal (2) a method for recovery of an equivalent stereo signal (3) a device for recovery of an equivalent stereo signal. |
