The device (1) has adhesive (9) provided at an end of an aerofoil (7) for integrating a U-shaped metallic cap (6) of a leading edge on the end. An induction heating unit (30) of the cap is inserted into a rigid framework (2). The heating unit is arranged between primary layers (5', 5'') made of thermo-expandable material, where the layer (5'') adapts to shape of the cap during the utilization of the device. The layers have thickness ranging between 1 and 2 millimeters. A secondary layer (3) of thermo-expandable insulation material is placed between the rigid framework and the layer (5'). An independent claim is also included for a method for gluing a protective metal cap of an airfoil leading edge of an aircraft. |
