FIELD: fire-prevention facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: method and device are related to fire-fighting facilities, namely, to prevention of explosion of hydrogen-air mixture in passenger compartment. Method to prevent explosion of hydrogen in passenger compartment with internal combustion engine, operating on hydrogen, by supply of inhibitor, which neutralises explosive hydrogen-air mixture produced in case of hydrogen leak. Besides, inhibitor is a mixture of alkanes and alkenes with number of carbon atoms in molecule from 1 to 6. Device of inhibitor supply into passenger compartment comprises nozzles and sensors of hydrogen leak registration, besides, inhibitor is supplied at the moment hydrogen leak is registered with the help of nozzles installed together with sensors of hydrogen leak registration on ceiling of passenger compartment in front, middle and back parts of passenger compartment. ^ EFFECT: improved safety for bus passengers in case of hydrogen leak by anticipatory application of inhibitor immediately after hydrogen detection, with minimum costs of explosive mixture detection and suppression and with application of ecologically compatible inhibitor. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
