Temporary rubbish container's i.e. collection bin, content scanning device, for use in collection lorry, has tilting device authorizing or prohibiting bin tilting based on comparison result of content measurement with pre-recorded profiles

The device has a measurement unit e.g. sensor (32) such as metal detector, for taking characteristic physical measurement (34) of entirety of content of a temporary rubbish container i.e. collection bin. A data base (36) stores characteristic pre-recorded profiles of the content. A comparator (38) compares physical measurement with pre-recorded profiles of the content. A tilting device is coupled with the device to authorize or prohibit tilting of the bin based on the result of comparison by indicating green light (40) or red light (42). An independent claim is also included for a voluntary delivery container comprising an identification device such as chip card reader.
