<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell, the electrode assuring flexibility and light weight for mass production and lower cost, and preventing infiltration and decomposition of electrolyte, resulting in prevented degradation in power generation efficiency; and to provide a dye-sensitized solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell is provided with a cathode substrate 8 of liquid crystal polymer film. A dye-sensitized solar cell 1 includes a working electrode 2, a counter electrode 3 arranged to face the working electrode 2 at an interval, and an electrolyte 4 which contains iodine and is filled between the working electrode 2 and the counter electrode 3.
