The device (10) has a blocking device e.g. coupling lever (22) and lock lever (34), blocking displacement of a safety catch (17) into a locking position in an activated state. A safety unit (51) is attached to the blocking device, and a physical parameter monitoring unit is attached to the safety unit. The blocking device is deactivated by the safety unit during obtaining or exceeding a predetermined parameter value. An optical sensor is attached to the safety unit for adjusting activation of the blocking device. The lock lever is coaxially supported towards a rotary latch (12).
