The element (1) has a flexible outer layer (2) forming a hollow body that is filled with medium i.e. viscous gel (3), with visco-elastic characteristics and forming a cushion-like structure, where the flexible outer layer and the medium are dissolvable. The flexible outer layer forms a circulating sealing lip (4) in a radial outer area of the element, where the lip is extended radially outside in inserted condition of the element. The flexible outer layer is opened under pressure effect for releasing the medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for exchanging a supply unit of a channel system.
