<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The collar has anchoring pin and lug (10, 12) radially projected towards the exterior at the proximity of respective ends (1A, 1B) of a metal band (1). The lug has an opening in which a free end part (10A) of the pin is inserted for anchoring and clamping the collar when the lug covers a support part (10C) of the pin. Bowl shaped engaging surfaces (14, 16) are situated at the rear of the lug and the pin, respectively. The pin and the surface (14) are formed in a common boss (18). The pin and the surface have common lateral ends (20) raised with respect to a plane of the collar. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a clamping collar. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Clamping collar for clamping a rotary piece such as transmission or steering bellows, or a pipe on an end piece in an engine compartment of a vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The anchoring pin is configured so as to be situated in a radial encumbrance of the common boss and a crank situated at the rear of the pin, thus improving the rigidity of the pin, and permitting a front edge of the opening to be placed at front of the pin at a height less than a maximum radial height of the pin, and hence realizing reliable anchoring function for realizing the pin on a small radial height in a simple and inexpensive manner, while improving the gripping quality of a clamping tool on the engaging surface situated at the rear of the pin.
