<p>The present invention is directed to radioactive brachytherapy seeds and devices comprising them, for temporary implantation, wherein the seeds are comprised of one or more isotopes of a one or more elements, in one or more compounds comprising the elements or isotopes, wherein the seeds are configured to be introduced into elongated casing means adapted to obtain a tethered configuration, isolation of said seeds from body tissue, and to allow reuse of said seeds by allowing them to be removed from said casing for reactivation for subsequent use.</p> |
