The woofer has a separation wall (3), a large chamber (4), a small chamber (5) and a loudspeaker housing including lateral walls (1), where the chambers are formed by the housing and the separation wall. Each chamber has a closed rear side and an open front side, and a loudspeaker (2) is installed on the separation wall, where the loudspeaker has a membrane that produces sound pressure in the chambers. A front side of the small chamber exhibits a larger surface than a rear side of the small chamber. The separation wall is arranged at a side that is not parallel to a wall of the small chamber.
