<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain smooth circulation of water between a hot water storage tank and a gas cooler by preventing clogging of piping caused by adhesion of a scale component. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater 100 includes: the hot water storage tank 11; and a heat pump unit 30 including a compressor 31, the gas cooler 34, a decompression device 33 and an evaporator 32. The water heater 100 further includes: a water activation device 26 provided in a water circulation circuit 20A between the gas cooler 34 and the hot water storage tank 11 and applying magnetic treatment or electrical treatment to water made to flow in to the gas cooler 34 to activate the water; and water discharge means 27, 80 for taking out water within the hot water storage tank 11 to the water circulation circuit 20A, making the water activated by the water activation device 26 flow in the gas cooler 34 and discharging the water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
