<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve retreat traveling (traveling to a repair shop etc.) while securing the durability of a second clutch even in vehicle start time control when CAN (Controller Area Network) communication fails and a motor generator 3 is abnormal, whereas when an HCM (Hybrid Control Module) 10 is normal in the start control of a one-motor two-clutch type hybrid vehicle, an internal combustion engine 1 performs its own control based on target torque from the HCM 10, and a motor generator 3 makes the second clutch 2 slightly slip by absorbing the output of the internal combustion engine 1, so that the vehicle start under the consideration of durability is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: When an ECM (Engine Control Module) 11 is isolated from the HCM 10 due to CAN communication failure and the motor generator 3 is abnormal, the ECM 11 controls the internal combustion engine 1 in accordance with the engagement torque (vehicle speed) of the second clutch 5 so that a vehicle can start while the second clutch 5 slightly slips.
