In a physical memory space, which is divided into fixed size areas, an area is determined, of which only a fragment is used for storing data, while a virtual memory address is mapped to a physical memory address of the area. The data stored in the area is caused to be copied to a temporary buffer. The mapping between the virtual memory address and the physical memory address of the area is caused to be cancelled.
