<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for in-situ application of a surgical patch used for hemostasis etc. <P>SOLUTION: The system for in-situ application of the surgical patch during minimally invasive surgery includes: the surgical patch; a polymeric bag; a mean for inserting the surgical patch into the polymeric bag; a means for transferring the polymeric bag containing the surgical patch into a body cavity; and a means for removing the surgical patch from the polymeric bag while the polymeric bag is in the body cavity.
