PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable ceramic heater and a hair iron. SOLUTION: The ceramic heater includes a ceramic substrate 22, a heating resistor built in the ceramic substrate 22, and an extraction electrode 27 exposed through an opening 28 provided in the ceramic substrate 22 and electrically connected to the heating resistor, wherein at least a part of a corner part of a wall surface of the opening 28 and/or at least a part of a circumferential upper end part of the opening 28 is at least one selected from a group consisting a cut surface having a chamfer dimension no smaller than 0.05 mm and a round surface having a radius no smaller than 0.05 mm.
