<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller for a vehicle capable of reducing shock resulting from a difference in rotating speed between front and rear wheels when a unidirectional power transmitting unit engages. <P>SOLUTION: The drive controller for a vehicle includes: a drive source for outputting drive power to a main drive shaft; an electric motor for outputting drive power to a driven drive shaft; a unidirectional power transmitting unit, provided on a path between the driven drive shaft and the electric motor, for transmitting the drive power from the electric motor to the driven drive shaft; and a bi-directional power transmitting unit, provided on the path in parallel with the unidirectional power transmitting unit, for transmitting the power from the driven drive shaft to the electric motor or the drive power from the electric motor to the driven drive shaft. The drive controller for a vehicle also includes: a means for detecting a vehicle speed; a means for determining a target rotational speed of the electric motor on the basis of the vehicle speed; and a control unit, when starting the drive of the vehicle by the electric motor or the regenerative drive of the electric motor when the vehicle travels by the drive power from the drive source, for controlling the electric motor so that the rotational speed of the electric motor is synchronized with the target rotational speed and also controlling drive of the bi-directional power transmitting unit. The control unit operates the bi-directional power transmitting unit when the rotational speed of the electric motor reaches a threshold rotational speed lower than a target rotational speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
