<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock system and a random number generating method thereof, capable of restraining part cost and production cost. <P>SOLUTION: This steering lock system 1 has a random number generating part in a CPU 61 for generating random number data for authenticating a user, and releases a steering lock by performing authentication based on the random number data generated by the random number generating part. This steering lock system 1 has an overall control unit 40 for detecting opening operation of a vehicle door by the user and detecting closing operation of the vehicle door by the user.
