<p>When viewing of stream data is switched to another input and again switched to input of the stream data, it is possible to easily reproduce the stream data, starting at the position immediately before the position when switched to the another input. When input is switched to a DTV broadcast received by an antenna (2) while reproducing a video stream transmitted from a video server (10), a receiver (1) requests the video server (10) to stop reproduction of the video stream and store the position information where the video stream reproduction is stopped. When the input is switched again to the video stream in the receiver (1), the receiver (1) requests the video server (10) to resume reproduction of the video stream which has been reproduced up to the moment immediately before the previous input switching. Here, the position information stored upon transmission of the reproduction stop request is transmitted to the video server (10) and reproduction of the video stream is resumed at the position of the previous input switching.</p> |
