PURPOSE:To obain a durable catalyst by providing a reinforcing member extending radially on a spacer among a plural number of catalysts and by supporting a secondary air supply pipe by the reinforcing member. CONSTITUTION:Two catalysts 9, 10 are supported radially in a casing 1 via a elastic members 25, 26, and a pressure member 24 is supported axially by an elastic member 28 while the intermediate parts keep their intervals each other by a spacer 11. The spacer 11 have a hollow reinforcing member 15 radially and the intermediate parts of the hollow reinforcing member 15 support a secondary air supply pipe 20 parpendicular to said intermediate part. Hereby, the reinforcing member 15 reinforces an intermediate part, being radially short and the weakest part of the casing 1 and also supports the secondary air supply pipe, and thus a durable catalyst can be made. |
