PURPOSE:To narrow the installation space and to enhance the measurement precision, by measuring the distance to a float provided in a small tube into which a fluid is charged when the lower end part of this small tube is inserted into the fluid. CONSTITUTION:A small tube 5 has a collar part 501 in the upper end and is provided with a through-hole 502 in the lower end. A float 6 is stored in the small tube 5 and is provided with a reflective plate 6-1 in the upper end. A measurer 7 outputs radio waves to the reflective plate 601 and measures the distance to the reflective plate 601 with reflected radio waves. Consequently, since the through- hole 502 is provided on the bottom face of the small tube 5, the level of a liquid 2 in the small tube 5 is equal to that in a vessel when the small tube 5 is inserted into the liquid 2. Therefore, the float 6 follows up the variance of the level of the liquid 2. Light or radio waves are outputted from the measure 7 to the reflective plate 601, and the reflected light or reflected radio waves are measured to measure the level of the liquid 2. |
