PURPOSE: A digital imaging processing apparatus, a method for controlling the same, and a recording medium storing program to execute the method are provided to smoothly use a touch screen by easily using a long touch input function. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen recognizes a touch input of a user, and a time calculating unit(123) calculates a touch input time of a user. A GUI(Graphic User Interface)(125) generates a GUI time which indicates the touch input time. The time GUI is indicated in a rod gauge or digit, and the GUI generating unit generates a required time GUI which indicates the time taken for recognizing a long touch input operation.
