PURPOSE: A digital photographing device, a control method and a program for executing the same are provide to switch on a sub display unit, thereby conveniently photographing a self-shot. CONSTITUTION: A photographing units(101,107,110) photographs an image of a subject. A main display unit(153) displays the photographed image. A sub display unit(154) is installed on the same surface with lenses(102,104). A determining unit(122) determines on/off state of the sub display unit. When the sub display unit is changed from off state to on state, a self-shot setting unit(123) sets a self-shot mode.
